About me:
Welcome to “Grandma On Call”, my real name is Debra, oh and Mum, oh and also Grandma, Nanna, Oma. I am Debra to most, Mum to my four beautiful adult babies (3 boys and 1 girl), and Grandma, Nanna and Oma to my five beautiful grandchildren (2 boys and 3 girls).
I saw a need for “Grandma on Call”, as my children work in the mining, resources and gas industries, and a common issue raised by my daughter and daughter in-laws is that they have “no family support”. With many partners working long hours, doing FIFO and shift work I have established that many families have no one they can call on, especially at short notice who they trust with their children.
My goal is to offer the mother and fathers of Gladstone an all round in-home care service. I am well aware of the pressures facing many families these days. There just does not seem to be enough time. Time for family, friends, work and yourself… So I am here to help!
I am a registered business, with current first aid and blue card.
So how can “Grandma on call” can help your family:
I will give individual, personal care. Your children are looked after within the stability and security of their own home.
I can be a very flexible and convenient childcare option for your family and fit in with a family’s routine and lifestyle.
You can book me in the following capacities:
• Casual day and evening bookings
• Part time bookings
• Night nanny – everyone deserves a good nights sleep!
Do you need help with the following:
• Look after your children last minute, are they sick? Has something come up?
• Do you need a night out, dinner, movie perhaps?
• Someone to watch your children while you attend an appointment? Medical? Hairdresser? Treat yourself to a massage?
• Have you just had a baby and do you need assistance at home? Maybe someone to help tidy up the house, put a load of washing on, mind bubs while you rest?
• Maybe you have had surgery and cant perform your normal duties, including driving, lifting etc
• Transporting children to school, kindergarten, and medical appointments
• Preparing suitable meals for children
• Light household duties
As you can see I am here to help with anything that arises… I understand that I can be a cheaper and less stressful alternative to having your partner take time off work!!!
